Hillary Campbell brings both enthusiasm and structure to her work at Vacaville Christian School. Now in her third year, she teaches Geometry, Algebra I, and serves as the Associated Student Body teacher, a role that allows her to connect with students both academically and relationally.

Her passion for teaching is rooted in a genuine love for mathematics and student growth. “I love math, and I love seeing the lightbulb come to students’ minds,” she shares. Whether guiding students through complex concepts or encouraging perseverance, Mrs. Campbell thrives on helping learners build confidence and clarity.

She values Vacaville Christian School’s commitment to academic excellence and accountability. The collaborative partnership between teachers and administrators, along with the shared expectation of high standards, creates an environment where students are both supported and challenged.

“I love math, and I love seeing the lightbulb come to students’ minds.”

Mrs. Campbell describes her teaching style as traditional, grounded in strong fundamentals while intentionally infused with energy and encouragement. She prioritizes relatability and connection, fostering a classroom atmosphere where students feel comfortable engaging and asking questions.

Faith plays a central role in her approach to both teaching and mentoring students. She emphasizes critical thinking not only in mathematics but across all areas of life. Students are encouraged to pay attention to detail, assess situations carefully, and develop thoughtful plans for problem solving. “My faith tremendously helps me support each student and encourage them to work diligently for the sake of honoring God,” she explains.

A guiding verse that shapes her perspective is Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you.” This message frequently finds its way into her classroom conversations. Mrs. Campbell reminds students not to be discouraged by challenges, encouraging them to trust that God’s plans are purposeful and steady.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Campbell enjoys spending time with her family at the lake, where camping, boating, and evenings by the fire create space for rest and connection. A fun fact many students enjoy learning is that she lives on a walnut orchard.

Students would likely describe her teacher trademark as her high energy and love for being around them, qualities that naturally extend into her work with the Associated Student Body class. In this role, she enjoys creating opportunities for students to build community, celebrate school spirit, and contribute to a vibrant campus culture.

Mrs. Campbell earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Sacramento State University and obtained her single subject teaching credential from National University. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and student-centered approach continue to shape classrooms where learning is both challenging and encouraging.
