How many years did you attend Vacaville Christian School?

I attended Vacaville Christian Schools for my high school years.

What are your best memories from your time at VCS?

My favorite memories come from being deeply involved in campus life. I especially cherished my time performing in conservatory productions and music competitions, which helped shape my love for music. I also valued my experiences as a student-athlete, starting on the varsity volleyball team and playing varsity basketball. Serving as the international student representative on the Student Council and participating in clubs such as Mu Alpha Theta and the National Honor Society made my VCS experience both enriching and meaningful.

Which teachers influenced you most during your time at VCS?

Pretty much all of them, but specifically, Mrs. Golden, who showed a lot of love toward our class and was such a caring advisor; Coach Borges, who helped me become an athlete; and my music teacher, who strengthened my love for music.

Did you grow in your personal faith as a result of your experiences at VCS?

As an international student, I was surrounded by supportive teachers and friends who genuinely cared about me. The loving, Christ-centered environment at VCS helped me grow personally and spiritually while building confidence, especially as I developed my English skills and sense of belonging within the community.

What have you been up to since graduating VCHS?

After graduating from VCS, I attended the University of Rochester, where I earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Financial Economics and Music Composition; a unique combination reflecting both my analytical and creative strengths.

In 2025, I completed my Master of Quantitative Management in Business Analytics at Duke University, where I focused on data-driven decision-making and strategic business insights. Shortly after graduating, I was offered a professional internship with the NBA in New York, where I now apply my analytical expertise with the Brooklyn Nets organization.

I credit my success to hard work, resilience, strong relationships, and perseverance. I poured myself into every academic and professional opportunity, particularly my capstone project at Duke, which led to a key professional connection. Even with strong preparation, my journey required months of applications, interviews, and technical meetings before securing my role with the NBA.

What advice would you give to a family or student considering attending VCS?

Take advantage of every opportunity VCS offers; academics, extracurriculars, athletics, and relationships. The AP classes are rigorous and well taught, and the school provides countless ways to grow. Most importantly, you’ll be surrounded by caring teachers and friends who will support you and help prepare you for life beyond high school.

For me, there’s nothing better than worshiping with my children & their peers during Chapel. I believe in their program so much so I’ve had children from diapers to diplomas. Blessed is an understatement.
