Rose Dean

Third Grade Teacher

For Rose Dean, teaching is more than a profession. It is a calling to help students grow academically, creatively, and spiritually.

Now in her third year at Vacaville Christian School, Rose brings both experience and joy into her third grade classroom. With over a decade of teaching experience, including ten years in England, she creates a learning environment where students are encouraged to think deeply, create boldly, and see the world through a Biblical lens.

“I truly feel called to teach at Vacaville Christian School.”

In her classroom, strong academics are paired with creativity and connection across subjects. Through the Institute for Excellence in Writing, students grow into confident writers while also making meaningful connections between history, science, and reading.

“It’s a blessing to help students grow into confident writers while encouraging them to see the world through a Biblical worldview.”

Rose brings energy and creativity into each day, whether through hands-on classroom experiences, engaging lessons, or sharing messages in chapel using puppets.

“I love that teaching here allows for so much creativity.”

For Rose, the joy of teaching is found not only in academic growth, but in watching students grow in their faith.

“Watching students grow in their learning and in their walk with Jesus is such a joy.”

Her faith is central to everything she does in the classroom.

“My Christian faith shapes how I teach by reminding me that each child is uniquely created by God and worthy of encouragement, patience, and guidance.”

She is intentional about nurturing curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning, while helping students understand that their work and ideas can honor God.

“Watching students grow in their learning and in their walk with Jesus is such a joy.”

Rose’s journey to VCS is one marked by both faith and family. Originally from England, she sees her role at VCS as a gift from the Lord and a place where she has found a new community. Her connection to the school also runs deep through her family, as her mother in law faithfully served at Vacaville Christian Elementary for 30 years.

Outside of the classroom, Rose enjoys painting and brings that same creativity into her teaching. She also serves as the Third Grade Lead Teacher and supports writing instruction as the IEW Coordinator.

Through her leadership, creativity, and strong foundation in faith, Rose is helping her students grow into confident learners who understand their purpose and are encouraged to use their gifts for God’s glory.
