Please share anything that you'd like us to know about your military career.

We were assigned to Travis AFB twice during our 20+ year Air Force career that included 10 moves, 12 homes, and 14 different schools for our two kids.

Please tell us your student’s names and grades.

Ashley (graduate student/John’s Hopkins); Steven (12th grade).

Why did you choose VCS for your children?

We initially chose VCS because we wanted our kids to have a Christ-centered education. We stayed with VCS for that very reason and for the outstanding academics and true sense of family and belonging.

In what ways have you seen your children grow in their faith as a result of their experiences at VCS?

Over the past 20 years, our kids attended VCS at various grade/maturity levels. Their faith and interest in following the Lord was greatly enhanced during the middle school and high school week retreats in the fall of each year. Weekly chapel and the emphasis on having a personal relationship with Jesus, enhanced by the teachers, staff and curriculum has made all of the difference in their growth as young Christians.

What is the one word your family would use to describe the Vacaville Christian School experience?

Legacy

What would you tell other parents who are considering enrolling their children at VCS?

If you are looking for the best option for your child to grow spiritually and have the tools to succeed in the next steps of life, there is no better place than VCS. It has been the best single investment we have made in our family and our children’s future to be part of Vacaville Christian Schools.

Our children have been more open to praying out loud, coming home with new worship songs that they are in love with, and memorizing the Word to hold within their hearts.

During the time we’ve been at VCS, our family has fallen in love with our school community. Both of our children have been welcomed with open arms and felt a strong sense of belonging.
