Ben Davis

Ben Davis joined VCS in June 2018 as the Head of School.  Mr. Davis holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in History and Religion from Hillsdale College and a Masters of Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado. Mr. Davis has been a strategic educational leader for independent schools since 2011. Mr. Davis has excelled quickly in education over the last nine years from the classroom to vice principal, principal and Head of School.

Joe Dingman

Joe Dingman, affiliated with VCS since 2010, became a board member in 2020. He and his wife, Natalie have two children, both of whom attend (or attended) Vacaville Christian School. Joe served more than 20 years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and has spent more than 6 years in the public and private sector and is currently the Executive Director & Director of Staff for Travis Air Force Base. Joe is a graduate from the US Air Force Academy and holds Master’s degrees from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of
Public Policy and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. In addition to serving on the VCS Board, he serves on other community boards and on a national non-profit veteran foundation.

Charlie Meadows

My name is Charlie Meadows, and I have been affiliated with VCS since 2015, and became a board member in 2022.  My wife Susan and I have 3 children and 2 grand children. We have 2 children who have attended VCS since 2015. My wife is a nurse and I am an owner at Scaffold Solutions Inc., where I have been the CFO/VP of Operations now for 16 years with a career of 30 years in the trades. I also serve as a board member of Northern California Apprenticeship Association. Rolling Hills Community Church is my church home.  I have been actively involved with VCS since 2015 in helping with resources of VCS core and shell upgrades. I was actively involved with the new construction of VCS High School exterior package and the new gymnasium at First Baptist Church. I am a Christian, and love serving wherever God places me.

Treasurer

Justin Kagin

Dr. Justin Kagin holds a Ph.D. in agricultural economics and has over 19 years of experience in developing countries. As founder and CEO of Kagin’s Consulting, he has managed and worked on numerous agricultural, social protection, and other poverty alleviation projects. He has worked extensively in Sub-Saharan Africa and around the world with clients ranging from UN agencies (UNFAO, UNDP, UNICEF, UNILO, and the World Bank), the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, Universities, NGOs and government ministries.

He is also the co-founder and director of the Economics, Diplomacy and Integrity Forum, a program of the non-profit Forum for Leadership and Reconciliation that began in 2006, in the countries of the Balkans (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montegro, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania) and expanded to other countries such as Israel, Costa Rica, and the US.

Justin is also a proud father of four boys who attend VCS and has a wonderful wife – Ivona!

Secretary

Darelyn Pazdel

Darelyn Pazdel, affiliated with VCS since 2002, is a new board member as of 2021 and currently serves as member at large. She and her husband, Bejan, have 3 children, two of whom have graduated from VCS and 1, a current high school student. Darelyn and her family attend Parkway Community Church. She holds an undergraduate business degree from San Jose State University and a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from Golden Gate University. She is an Operations Director for PRIDE Industries and has 25 years of experience managing in the not-for-profit sector. She is an Executive Board Member for the Fairfield Suisun Chamber of Commerce as well as the Travis Regional Armed Forces Committee. Darelyn and her husband currently volunteer with the VCS football and baseball programs as well as serve and support on the VCS Booster Club Board.

John Biard

John’s affiliation with VCS commenced in 2015, when his oldest child, Micah, began Kindergarten Readiness; selecting VCS for its Christian education model and its academic focus.  John joined the VCS Board in 2019 as a Member at Large, later becoming Secretary; and now, serving as Vice- Chairman.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, in 1987; and, then earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 1991.  John has been an active lawyer in good standing with the California State Bar, practicing in State and U.S. federal courts for more than 30 years.  He first served as a civil defense trial lawyer, and then as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, for a national public transportation provider for nearly a decade.  In 2011, John began his role as Northern California Managing Counsel, for an international, publicly traded insurance company, responsible for 2 litigation law offices in Rancho Cordova and Walnut Creek.  John and his wife, Charity, married in 2003, and moved to Vacaville in 2005.  As of 2019, their son, Micah, and daughter, Halo, both attend VCS; Micah in the 6th grade, and Halo, in the 3^rd grade.  Charity works hard taking care of John and children.  The family attends Church in Vacaville.

Lou Cabral

Lou Cabral , affiliated with VCS since 2015, became a board member in 2021 and currently serves as member at large. He and his wife, Hollie, have one child who attends VCS, in elementary school. Lou holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management from Sacramento State University and works for Bureau of Reclamation as a Contract Specialist. He also is an Air Force Reservist at Travis AFB. In addition to serving on the VCS board, Lou
volunteers his time as a Trustee at Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield and serves on the youth ministry.

Jeff Krulick

Jeff Krulick, affiliated with VCS since 2021, became a board member in 2022. He and his wife, Liz, have been married for 19 years and have four children – two of whom attend
high school at VCS. Jeff has served for 24 years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, and he is currently the commander of the 821st Contingency Response Group at Travis AFB. Jeff is a graduate of Penn State and holds masters’ degrees from the University of North Dakota and the U.S. Naval War College. A long time runner and triathlete, he volunteers with the VCS high school cross country and track programs. Additionally, he volunteers with the Solano Thunderhawks youth running team. Jeff and his family are members of Crossroads Christian Church in Vacaville.

Jason Lane

Jason Lane, affiliated with VCS since 2012, became a board member in 2023 and currently serves as member at large. He and his wife, Tina, have four boys – two of whom have graduated from VCHS and 1, a current middle school student. Jason and his family serve and attend Harvest Church in Vacaville. Jason is a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He attended California State University at East Bay for his undergraduate work in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Services, as well as JFK University for his graduate work in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT).  He has worked in the non-profit sector wearing multiple managerial hats in areas such as: quality assurance, program development, case management, emergency preparedness, etc. Jason volunteers in the local community through Vacaville National Little League, as well as serving as an assistant coach for multiple sports in the middle and high school at VCS.

Dorace Lynch

Dorace Lynch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (minor in English) and has been affiliated with VCS since 1990; first as a Kindergarten teacher, then Vice Principal and Principal of the Elementary Department. After 31 years of service at VCS, Dorace retired from her position as principal in June of 2021.  In less than a year after retirement, it became evident that serving on the Board at VCS would fulfill her heart’s desire to continue to be a part of Christian Education. As of October 2022, Dorace became a member at large on the VCS Board. 

Johnny and Dorace have a daughter and son, Amy and David.  David graduated from VCS in 1998 and is now serving as a Foreign Service Officer for the Department of State.  The Lynch’s have a total of eight grandchildren, four of which have attended VCS from pre-school-8^th grade (Bryan and Amy Gentili family).   

Presently, Dorace is involved with the Women’s Ministry at Valley Church and is a Group Leader with Bible Study Fellowship.  She has concluded that one can never retire from Christian Ministry!

Clinton Varty

Clinton Varty, affiliated with VCS since 2021, became a board member in 2023. He and his wife, Sarah have three children with the oldest currently attending VCS, and the younger two being home-schooled. Clinton is currently serving on active duty in the Air
Force with 22+ years of experience in leadership roles and is currently the 60 Maintenance Group Commander at Travis Air Force Base. Clinton graduated from Washington State University and holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Webster University. In addition to serving on the VCS Board, he is the Executive Pastor at Thrive Church in Vacaville where he and his family attend. He also currently serves on the executive leadership team and leads multiple ministry teams.
