Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who can take advantage of this Discount?
A: Anyone who enrolls and attends VCS in grades Early Kindergarten through 12th grade, excluding staff and Board members who are currently receiving a discount.

Q: When does this program take effect and how long will it last?
A: The program is available for current and new families that enroll at VCS from August 24, 2009 to December 31, 2009.

Q: How can I, as a current VCS family, take advantage of this?
A: Any currently enrolled family (Early Kindergarten through 12th grade), that is in good standing with VCS can participate by engaging their personal circle of influence verbally and with marketing information available from VCS. Once the current VCS family has found a prospective family, the current VCS family will supply the prospective family with the Rewards Program Agreement (RPA) which has already been signed by the current VCS family. This New Family will then sign the RPA and turn it in along with the application to enroll with the school.

Q: How can I, as a prospective family, take advantage of this?
A: If you are a prospective family where no child within the family has attended VCS within the last 12 months and the student is entering Early Kindergarten through 12th grade, then you are eligible to participate.

Q: Who gets the discount if multiple people offer it to the same family?
A: The names that are on the RPA which accompanies the New Family's application will determine who gets the discounts.

Q: Can the Discount be spread between multiple people?
A: Unfortunately, no. The accounting process for this program is extensive as it is.

Q: Can I get more than one discount?
A: Yes. You can get as many discounts as you wish; however, the maximum amount of discounts you will receive will not be greater than your total tuition bill.

Q: If I sponsor a family with multiple children, will I get a discount for every child in that family that enrolls into VCS?
A: No. Your discount is associated with each family you sponsor, not the number of children within each family.

Q: As a sponsored family with multiple children who will enroll in VCS, will the discount be a percentage of my total tuition for all my children?
A: No. As a new family who has signed a RPA, you will receive a discount off the highest remaining tuition balance for ONE child in your family.

Q: If I pay my tuition in one lump sum will I get the discount?
A: Yes. The discount will be applied in a lump sum to the tuition account. This credit can then be used to pay any other fees on the account. If a credit is remaining at the end of the school year, a refund check for the remaining credit will be issued.

Q: Can I give my discount to another VCS family?
A: Yes. You can assign your rights to any VCS family that is in good standing.

Q: When does the Discount go into effect?
A: Once the RPA has been signed by both families and validated by VCS, the discount will begin the following billing cycle.

Q: Can I lose my discount?
A: Yes. If any family on the RPA were to leave the school for any reason, then the departing family would lose all discounts associated with the RPA. Also, if either party becomes 30 days delinquent in tuition or fees, the delinquent party's discount will be suspended until the account is brought current.

Q: If a discount is lost, are there any exceptions like death in family, job loss, etc?
A: No exceptions. However, the school would encourage you to examine other scholarship opportunities that could be available in such an occasion.

Q: Can I, as a new family, sponsor other new families?
A: Yes. However, you must make sure that all applications that you have sponsored apply for enrollment concurrently with or after acceptance of your enrollment application.
