Middle School Course/Curriculum Offering

Course Fee: Middle School students pay a Science lab fee that goes towards supplies for weekly class experiments & equipment.Sixth grade students study Earth Science with Mrs. Judy Stockton. They learn about volcanoes, hurricanes, fault lines, and meterology among other Earth Science subjects.
Each grade level has their own Lunch Activity where the students come, with their parents and perform some sort of a scientific activity together. Sixth grade made a Meterology station last year while seventh grade had a Discover the Biomes time and the eighth graders presented their home-built machines and tried to build a structure for keeping a raw egg intact while being dropped. Fun was had by everyone!

Course Fee: Middle School students pay a Science lab fee that goes towards supplies for weekly class experiments & equipment.Seventh grade students study Life Science with Mr. Isaac Bartsch. They learn about plant and animal cells, the structure of a plant, human anatomy, and even have the opportunity to do some dissections. One of their favorite projects deals with an owl pellet and trying to determine what an owl ate.
Each grade level has their own Lunch Activity where the students come, with their parents and perform some sort of a scientific activity together. Course Fee: Middle School students pay a Science lab fee that goes towards supplies for weekly class experiments & equipment.Eighth grade students study Physical Science with Miss Cori Ladd. They learn the basics of how and why machines work, about force, friction, and movement. One of their favorite projects is when they create their own machines and show which operations they have used in order to make their machine function.
