Message from Mrs. Dorace Lynch, Principal
We welcome you to a new school year! It is a great privilege to partner with you in the spiritual and academic education of your child. The one way we can ensure success is by working together as parents, teachers and administrators.
Good partnerships utilize good communication skills. In order to maximize our communication, we will send home “Friday Folders” containing student work, weekly teacher newsletters and a weekly Elementary E-Bulletin to keep you up-to-date and informed of your child’s progress and elementary events. Please make it a priority to read each of these forms of communication so as to stay in touch with your child’s school life. If you have any questions, concerns or praises please contact us via voice mail, e-mail or a written note. Remember to direct any classroom questions to the teacher first.
This promises to be an exciting year for VCS as we open our new High School! Yes, we in the elementary department consider this very important, as this is where our students are heading. Another exciting change in store for our department is the closing of our West Campus Kindergarten and the opening of four new Extended Day Kindergarten classes on the Davis Campus. The additional hours added to our kindergarten program will maximize learning for our students and better prepare them for our first grade classes.
As we welcome new students and staff members, we are expectantly watching to see the Lord work in the lives of our school family. We recognize that education apart from our Creator, who designed our world, is in vain. Our goal is to give our students “roots and wing”. Roots grown deep in the right soil will produce the fruit of righteousness; which will in turn give our children the ability to soar as godly adults.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water and shall bring forth fruit in his season, whose leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:3
