Middle School Course/Curriculum Offering

Course Fee: Middle School students pay a Science lab fee that goes towards supplies for weekly class experiments & equipment.Eighth grade students study Physical Science with Miss Cori Ladd. They learn the basics of how and why machines work, about force, friction, and movement. One of their favorite projects is when they create their own machines and show which operations they have used in order to make their machine function.
Each grade level has their own Lunch Activity where the students come, with their parents and perform some sort of a scientific activity together. Sixth grade made a Meterology station last year while seventh grade had a Discover the Biomes time and the eighth graders presented their home-built machines and tried to build a structure for keeping a raw egg intact while being dropped. Fun was had by everyone!
