This course presents principles of general biology for students desiring to major in science, engineering, and the medical and related professions in college. It is a fast-paced and demanding course for senior honors students. This course covers biochemistry, cells and cellular processes, heredity and genetics, evolutionary biology, organism diversity, structure and function of plants and animals, human anatomy and physiology, and ecology. Laboratory experience and problem solving skills are highly emphasized. Concepts, theories and applications are stressed. This course relies heavily on the lab component which may require extra time for laboratories.
Pre-Requisites: Pre-Requisites: Completion of General Biology with a B+ or better and General Chemistry with a B+ or better or Honors Chemistry

This course prepares students for subsequent advanced classes in mathematics and science. This fast-paced, college-level course is tailored for juniors on the Honors track classes. Students learn an expanded chemistry curriculum including molecular orbital theory, thermodynamics, kinetics and reaction mechanisms, nuclear chemistry and organic chemistry. Course work emphasizes the theory behind results and relies heavily on the lab component which may require extra time for laboratories. This course is designed to help prepare students for the SAT II in Chemistry or the AP Chemistry exam

This calculus-based course prepares students for subsequent college classes in the physical and engineering sciences. This fast-paced, college-level course is tailored for seniors on the Honors track classes. Students learn an expanded physics curriculum including Newton’s laws of motion, statics and dynamics problems, conservation of mechanical energy, momentum, rotational motion, electricity, and magnetism. Participation in classroom discussions, assigned problems, and many outside projects is expected. This course relies heavily on the lab component which may require extra time for laboratories; including computer generation of lab reports with data analysis and graphical presentation of data. This course requires foundational knowledge of trigonometry.
