Bible:
Create a 10 sequence timeline of Israelite history from Old Testament studies
Retell the lessons of Bible characters and contemporary Christian leaders
Recite and write selected Bible verses
Discuss trusting God to have a plan for our lives and using His word as the foundation for choices

Language Arts:
Reading
Read narrative and expository text with fluency, accuracy, and expression at grade level
Identify and explain frequently used synonyms, homonyms, antonyms
Develop, identify and use new vocabulary
Put into sequence written and narrative writings
Identify main ideas and supporting details
Distinguish between fact and opinion in written material.
Identify the conflict in a story and its resolution
Identify character traits from actions
Identify types of fiction and writing purpose

Identify the 8 parts of speech in a written sentence
Identify correct and incorrect grade level grammar usage

Spelling
Spell grade appropriate words correctly
Recognize phonetic spelling rules and sounds of grade appropriate words

Writing
Write a 3 paragraph narrative report with appropriate topic, supporting, and concluding sentence
Write a research report
Write simple, compound and complex sentences correctly and be able to diagram the same
Punctuate and capitalize written work
Recognize and create expressive poetry in at least 3 formats
Correctly read, write, and punctuate dialogue

Math:
Identify positive integer place value to billions
Identify decimal place value to ten thousandths
Identify exponents and powers of 10
Identify and compute positive and negative integers
Use long division with multi-digit divisors
Identify missing variables in an algebraic expression
Compute perimeter and area of simple objects
Compute mean, median, range and mode
Interpret and construct a variety of graphic representations
Convert customary and metric measurements
Add, subtract, divide and multiply fractions
Recognize and create equivalent fractions

Science:
Name 7 characteristics of mammals
Name 5 vertebrate groups and give an example of animals in each
Name colors of the spectrum and light source
Identify layers of Earth and rock formations
Name the stages of the water cycle
Identify and differentiate kinetic and potential energy and simple machines
Identify and name planets and constellations
Weather and cloud formations

History:
Name major historical events and leaders of the United States from European exploration through current times.
Recognize the Biblical foundation of our government.
Name, identify, and draw on a map the seven continents and 4 oceans, 13 original colonies and major US rivers and mountain chains

Penmanship:
Correctly form letters in the Zaner-Bloser style according to line placement, slant and letter connections
