Create a 10 sequence timeline of Israelite history from Old Testament studies
Retell the lessons of Bible characters and contemporary Christian leaders

Language Arts:
Reading
Read narrative and expository text with fluency, accuracy, and expression at grade level
Identify and explain frequently used synonyms, homonyms, antonyms
Develop, identify and use new vocabulary
Put into sequence written and narrative writings
Identify main ideas and supporting details
Distinguish between fact and opinion in written material.

Identify decimal place value to ten thousandths

Identify and name planets and constellations
Weather and cloud formations

History:
Name major historical events and leaders of the United States from European exploration through current times.
Recognize the Biblical foundation of our government.
Name, identify, and draw on a map the seven continents and 4 oceans, 13 original colonies and major US rivers and mountain chains

Penmanship:
Correctly form letters in the Zaner-Bloser style according to line placement, slant and letter connections

Recognize and name all upper/lower case letters of the alphabet
Identify beginning/ending sounds
Blend consonant-vowel words
Read one /two vowel words
Follow words from left to right and top to bottom of a page
Identify and produce rhyming words
Differentiate short/long vowels, consonants, blends and special sounds
Read sight words
Retell familiar stories
Answer questions about a story

Writing:
Recognize that names, places, and beginning of sentences begin with capitals
Recognize a period, question mark, and an exclamation mark and know they come at the end of a sentence
Demonstrate good penmanship as they copy sentences from another paper or the board

Math:
Count and recognize numbers 1-100
Identify, describe, and extend simple patterns
Name before, after, and between numbers
Recognize number words one to ten
Counting to 100 by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s
Add and subtract combinations for the 1-10 families
Telling time to the hour and half hour
