VCS has an extensive and affordable summer program for instrumental students heading to 4th grade up to 12th grade.

Elementary Summer Band Schedule
Summer Band classes are a continuation of the classes given during the regular school year. All monthly fees still apply during the Summer.
Level I and II --- Classes are Mon. and Wed., 8:45am to 9:15am.
Level III through VII --- For VCS Elementary band students who are Level III and higher. Classes meet Tue. through Thurs., 8:45am to 9:15 am.
Special Elementary Sessions for those taking regular summer school ---
If your child is enrolled in VCS regular summer school he/she may come to summer sessions 8:00am to 8:30am Monday and Wednesday (All book levels).
How important is it to have my child study music over the summer?
It’s extremely important for this year's 3rd, 4th, 5th graders to continue study in music over the summer. Programs include half-hour sessions twice each week (see schedule).
Does my child have to attend every session?
No. It's highly recommended but not required.

MS Student Summer Band Sessions Schedule
Regular Sessions --- Classes meet Tue, Thurs. and Friday 8:30am to 9:15 am.
Special Sessions --- Note: Morning special sessions for elementary and middle school students taking regular summer school have been changed.
If your child is enrolled in VCS regular summer school he/she may come to summer sessions 7:45am to 8:15am Monday and Wednesday (All book levels).
For students rated Level VI or Higher
VCS Radio Symphony Summer Band Sessions
Summer Band starts July 9, 2012
For students level VI or higher – or with special permission from Mr. Martin (Extremely advanced music).
Class sessions are July 9th through Aug. 16th, 2012 - Monday through Friday - 9:30am to 12:30pm.
Special concert to be announced at a later date.
An additional tuition fee of $225.00 is charged for this class. 100% of the funds go directly to the VCS Instrumental Music Department.
VCS Radio Symphony Summer Sessions
Starts July 9, 2012
The VCS Radio Symphony Summer Sessions July 9th through August 16th, 2012
Rehearsals are Monday through Friday 9:30am to 12:30pm.
The orchestra will perform the music live with a movie,
AUGUST 15th and August 16th @ 7:00pm ($20 general admission) PETER PAN performed with their own brand new musical score LIVE at BRENDEN THEATERS. Radio Symphony’s first originally composed film score to a full feature film cast by the story’s creator, J M Barrie in 1924.
Tuition is $225.00
(100% of the funds go the VCS Instrumental Music Studies Department)
