GOD is great! It is so hard for me to believe that I am entering into my ninth year as the head football coach for Vacaville Christian High School. It only seems like yesterday when I accepted the job to start the program from scratch. As I look around today at how far our program and school has come in such a short amount of time, all I can say is that GOD is great!
We started with a modest football field which has now become a state of the art all weather surface with stadium lights and seating complex. Although I do have to admit I miss the hum of the gas powered generated lights we had to crank up for all those years… just a little. Our coaches box has gone from scaffolding to a three room, carpeted, air cooled and heated office with a birds eye view for filming. The stadium is a dream come true! The program itself has expanded from a single varsity program to include a three team youth tackle program and middle school flag football program as well. Again, this is GOD's great timing and blessings.
Our football program has grown from an unknown commodity to one of the most dominating small school programs in California. Winning three state scoring titles, three consecutive league titles, compiling a 40-5 record over the past three seasons, and winning a Section title in three tries has really put us on the map. None of these things would not have been accomplished without the tremendous administrative support and vision for our athletic program. Coupled with the dedication of our young men, assistant coaches, and parents, Falcon football is an exciting program to be a part of, and my humble honor to boot.
We want you also. The Falcon football families welcome new players, families, and supporters every year and this year is no different. If you would like to be a part of our program and family, come on out. Whether it's a fan at a game, a member of the team, an announcer, a booster club member, or a chain gang member we definitely want you and need you. I speak for myself and the team when I say none of this would ever be possible without our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but also you. We count on your love and support to continue to move this program forward. Go Falcons!
