Greetings and Welcome!

Vacaville Christian High School is the proud home of the Falcons! This is an incredible place to learn, to grow, to be known, and to get involved. It is a family atmosphere where students can thrive!

Vacaville Christian High School is a college preparatory school with high academic standards. This school year we have 15 Advanced Placement (AP) courses. For the 2012-2013 school year, we will have courses to include: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics, AP English Language and Composition(12th Grade), AP English Literature and Composition(11th Grade), AP US History, AP European History, AP US Government, AP Microeconomics, AP Psychology, AP Studio Art, AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, and AP Physics. In addition, we have an Honors Instrumental Music Studies class that is UC approved. We offer both French and Spanish, fine arts courses, practical arts courses, and an opportunity to explore a wide variety of elective courses.

Our fine arts program touts an award winning Jazz Band that competes annually at the Reno Jazz Festival, an Instrumental Music Studies Band that has performed the musical accompaniment for four silent films as well as concertos and symphonies, and a group of incredibly performing musicians who have recorded four CD's. They perform approximately 15 times per year to include in San Francisco, at the mall in Fairfield, in local retirement homes, and at our local Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre. In addition, we have a superb high school choir who just recently placed Silver in the Heritage Festival in San Francisco and also presents many concerts a year. Our drama program produces a musical/ play each year. Our art department has a complete art lab to include a kiln.

Our practical arts program includes an award winning journalism department with a National Quill and Scroll Society membership. Our journalism students produce a full-color, hard bound yearbook and a full-color student newspaper that has an on-line component as well. We are thankful to have a state of the art, computer lab and teach several levels of computer courses to include a Virtual Enterprise class that combines computer skills and business skills.

Christian values and building Christian character are very important aspects of the mission of our school. One crucial part of our mission is to provide students with every opportunity to attain and grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. To that end, we have daily Bible classes, Chapel on Tuesdays, an annual fall retreat, discipleship clubs, ministry teams, and a Chapel Leadership class. In addition, Godly principles are used in mentoring, discipline, and counseling. Our teachers are encouraged to open classes in prayer and to pray for their students. We try to incorporate God's Word into every aspect of our educational program, to include the classrooms and the sports fields.

VCS is truly a family and on Friday nights, the VCS family is out at Falcon Field, under the lights, watching our cheerleaders, soccer players, and football players in the fall. The gym is definitely the place to watch our Falcons take on any contender on the volleyball or basketball courts, and we are extremely blessed to have golf, ladies' soccer, boys and girls wrestling, track and cross country as well. Our teams do extremely well! Come and check out our trophy cabinet across from the high school office.

We have great students at VCHS. They work hard, play hard, have a great deal of fun together at the many social events and extra curricular activities, and they enjoy times of spiritual growth together as well. They are blessed to have some of the most incredible teachers in the world who are experts in their subject area, degreed and credentialed, and love the Lord and their students! Our high school staff (faculty, office personnel, and administration) consists of amazingly dedicated and wonderful people who are passionate about Christian education and want to see our students thrive in every area of their life! We want to see every student achieve their academic dreams and go to the college or university of their choice, but we also want to nurture them along the way to exemplify Christian values, to serve others, to have a great work ethic, and to love the Lord with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength. This is a great place to grow! Come and be a part of the family!

Honored to be the Principal,
Janet E. H. Fogh
