About the Early Education Department:
Full-Time Faculty & Teacher Assistants: 27 full-time teachers and1 part-time teacher
Student: Teacher Ratio: 1:4 for Infant/Toddler, 1:6 for Toddler, 1:12 for Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness. Average Class Size: 24 students per Early Kindergarten class with two teachers
Vacaville Christian Schools Early Education (Infant - Kindergarten Readiness) is accredited by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) with licensing through the State of California. Each Early Education teacher meets state requirements with a minimum of twelve ECE units. The majority of our staff have ECE certificates, Associates or Bachelors degree.
VCS is a traditional school year beginning in late August and continuing until Mid-June. Our facility license numbers are 480108958 for the Infant/Toddler Center and 480104414 for Preschool and Kindergarten Readiness.
The Early Education program began in 1989. We are state-licensed and are regularly inspected, meeting or exceeding every qualification. While we are a non-denominational, Christian school, our focus is on the complete development of the child: spiritual, physical, emotional and mental. Daily activities reflect this concern as we encourage healthy growth in every area.
Pick-up/Drop-off Information:
School/Daycare Hours: 7:00am-6:00pm
Morning class children can be dropped off at 8:00 a.m. and must be picked up by 12:00 p.m.. All day children may come as early as 7:00 a.m. and must be picked up no later than 6:00 p.m. Charges occur before and after those times. Occasional Daycare use will be billed at the drop-in rate of $5.00 per hour in 30-minute increments. Late pick-up after 6:00 p.m. is assessed a $15 fee for each 15-minute increment or portion thereof. This fee will double after two(2) occurrences to $30 per increment, per occurrence.
Chapel:
A variety of pastors and teachers come in to do these exciting chapels. The preschool and early kindergarten chapels take place on Fridays at 9:00 a.m. and have occasional guest speakers. Puppet shows, objective lessons, and special stories are a big hit with the children.
Uniforms:
Students in our Early Education program do not wear uniforms. We encourage play clothes within dress code, shorts under dresses for girls, and shoes suitable for playground play.
